Circle Time with a Mystery Box ???

Updated: Dec 12, 2020

Hello all! Rosanna, Kianna, and Ian from Play and Learn Corner ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ are ready to do a short circle time with you all.

Circle time or group time is a fun and engaging way to get young children to learn while having fun. We like to make circle time really short because young children have a short attention span and it wouldn't be fair to keep them sitting for too long.

Young children are not developmentally ready to sit for long periods of time. We try to keep circle time engaging by singing ๐ŸŽค, doing music and movement ๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽถ, playing with puppets, doing finger plays, reading a short story ๐Ÿ“š, and more.

A rule of thumb to remember is to keep circle time short and fun. If the children does not seem engaged anymore, it is ok to stop circle time and try again later. (Something I've learned very well by working with a group of active 2 year olds ๐Ÿ˜‚)

If circle time is carefully planned for the appropriate age group, it can be an opportunity full of learning. Make it fun, exciting, and engaging! Children would likely join and learn to be around others in a group setting, which is skills that are important for young children to develop.

Enjoy and have fun while learning! ๐Ÿฅฐ
